I originally came up with Tobrius(goes by Toby) a few days ago as what I’d write for a DA3 Love Interest, so he’s got this whole complicated back story and a plan for how the PC could influence him and his future.

I figured that once he was interested in your character he’d start leaving tiny gems in your backpack, because he’d always been joined-at-the-hip with his sister he has little idea how to approach someone romantically. So he just leaves gifts as hints and hopes the PC will make the first move. The PC could either a)turn him down which would make him sad but he'd get over it b) accept him and start his romance or c) never address the topic, leaving him confused and he'd then sometimes act like you are a couple since he hasn't gotten a firm 'no', getting narky if the PC sleeps with someone else etc.
