A formal portrait of my ten year-old sister taken at her and my mother's request. It was after her spring recital [the last one for the season] with the Orange County Ballet Theatre and Broadway Dance Arts. As you can see, she was still in her stage make-up and the dress she wore for her ballet performance, one of Motzart's minuets.

I was very proud of her. She was placed in advanced classes this year and now dances with girls three, four, even five years older than she is, and yet was one of the most recognized in her level. I didn't even have to tell her to pose during this shoot: she loves it so much it comes naturally to her.
