Description
A blast from the pastThis is from a long time ago, when Evera was still an infant. Here she is learning to stand for the first time, her parents have swept all the remains of the eggshell away.
Evera is but only ten minutes old is already learning how to stand.

This is a picture for my dragon calender project. I need to know all the flaws I need to fix before the calender is finished. This is for the month, January.
This picture is only 25% of the size of the finished version. When the finished calender is ready I will update this picture with the complete copy. The updated version will also be a print.

Cute idea. I think I gave you my opinion on this a while ago offline so I won't repeat, but I will ask, whatever happened to that calender idea? This never got that full complete version you promised in the description....

wow where did you get this? did you use a 3D computer program to make it?

I made everything in the picture using the 3D program Blender.

How cuuuuute!
I absolute love bady Evera's pose: it looks like she was just shaking and stretching herself after getting rid off eggshell. Her parents' expressions are so adorable too: they look their baby so proudly and like they were wondering: "Did we make this?"
So I think characters are perfect. Do not touch them!
But what comes to background I think it needs more details or atleast some textures. Maybe sand, rocks, few steams of grass? What ever fits to environment they're living.

Thank you.
I moved Evera slightly to what I think is an even better pose.
But the background I'll see what I can do to touch it up.

You're welcome! ^^
I can't tell how you have moved Evera but she still looks adorable.

I'm not sure how you did it, but her right hind leg looks like it's really straining for her to stand. Are the wings down as far as they can be physically without broken bones? Because at ten minutes I doubt she'd have much control over those muscles.
I dunno if you watched anything for a reference on the pose but check this out: [link]

i dont know how hard it is to make these things but I think the hatchling would look more ral if you arch her back and maybe dip in her stomach to make her look skinny and newborn, teh fact that her back is so straight look unrealistic

I like the idea of a dragon poster (being a HUGE fan of dragons myself) and I like this idea for the month of January because of the new beginnings theme. I like the picture but I think it'd look really good if the baby was looking up. I don't know if you were trying to avoid doing the face but it would definitely make the picture if the hatchling could look up at the parents or even the "reader".

Thanks for the input.
Sadly DA doesn't allow you to submit posters in prints. Going to have to make do with the rest of the prints areas when I update.
I see what you mean about having her look up. I was going for having her look at her feet as she stands, but I think your idea has merit. Might go along with it.
Thanks.
