Description
This scene really involved a lot of work to make it look like the real reception, as it is created to scale and exactly as it is, but I have added some extra furniture to make the scene complete. Many of the textures used are photos I have taken of the reception and are edited & made to scale to the 3D models I have created. Using lot of radial lights and with Sun light turned on. Plants are from Xfrog models. After extensive time working on this scene the result looks fine. Created & rendered in Bryce 6.1 and the rendering time is 1h 50min at ‘2000 x 1399 pixels’. The Bryce document size is 60Mb. Editing render, sharpening image and signature in postwork.
Carpet by 3DM-MC, CD’s by Locobox, Fire Extinguisher and A.C. by Lab108, Telephone by Hongyu’s, Imac by Lynnart, Desk Chair & Chairs by 3D Software, Box File by Morphography, Clock by Stefeu, Water Cooler Dispensers by ZXT, Table by Psychoranes, Vase by Archibase, Blind by TurboSquid and Newspaper by Fast3D. Thanks very much for your stuff. (Some models have a new textures by me).
This 3D image is dedicated to my friends at Media Masters. Thanks for viewing and for your comments.

This is amazing work! gotta love the glass on that door and the reflections on the window.
If i were you, however, i'd try to rotate the textures of the floor tile to make it look (EVEN!) more natural.

Hey my friend! …Thank you. That’s the real glass material that is used on the original door. I have taken a photo of the door, after cutting the glass from each other I did the setting of each glass on the 3D door. Yes, it’s a good idea about the tiles texture, but that tile setting is exactly as the original Media Masters room, tiles position.

PROSIT Drinu. Fabulous as always. Maybe it took some time but it really looks great. And me being one of the people who used to work at Media Masters, I would like everyone to know that this actually looks better than the real thing. I'm proud to have introduced this guy to 3D Art.
Keep it up siehbi.

Wow the perfect scale of every object gives a very real atmosphere, all it needs are some really soft shadows to simulate radiosity since its not an option in the bryce renderer(I think).

Thanks Carl for your support. Yes, it’s possible to do some soft shadows. I try to find good light source to do the shadows, as it is filled with radial lights.

What I said is not available in bryce renderer is the radiosity option which simulates light bouncing off surfaces, so in theory if you are good with materials you can illuminate the whole scene with just the sun light, and the scene should look just like the real thing when lit just by sunlight.
But as I said 'in theory', usually you still have to add a few omni/radial lights just to brighten it up.

adrian3Dart In reply to Money-Tree [2008-03-31 11:52:01 +0000 UTC]
Thank you so much! It various from project to project, but I have started this project in Nov 2006 by taking photos of the materials and doing a sketch with the measurements. Around Feb 07 I have started creating some of the 3D models and worked on it on and off. After it was pending in my computer for months, I have continued working on it this year. So it took days for sure (full time).
