Character sketch, was seeing if I could get a digital pencil effect, done in ps with 3px round brush.Related content

wow! i think you achieved the pencil feel really well, (and of course the design is beautiful).
do you use a Cintiq or a tablet ?
im asking cause i also wanted to give my sketches the traditional pencil look, but with a tablet it feels weirdΒ
and after a while i end up drawing with a real pencil on paper. so i thought maybe the Cintiq feels beter.

Hey thanks ^^ yeah I use a Cintiq, I can't use a tablet very well because your not looking at what your drawing its so weird, the Cintiq is really similar to drawing on paper.Β

Wow that's pretty convincing "pencil" work! Was it difficult to achieve or did you just have to limit how dark your values got pretty carefully?

thanks ^^ It mainly just took a while to do, my sketching always starts out really light so I just had to keep working over the darker areas to get them the right value.
