Description
Dune is one of the grandmaster scifi stories of our time. Here we see Paul Muad'Dib about to take his first lesson in the Hookerman first worm.
This is a one days work from a quick character sketch. I wanted to capture an epic scene, a key moment in the characters life, similar to and inspired by the cinematic style of film director David Lean.

Looks good! Knowing the story definitely helps contextualize the image, but even without that I do like the scene - there is a sort of "calm before the storm" sense to the piece, along with an almost military air due to the hooks and other long implements everyone is carrying.
