Description
Despite its industrious look, humans have enhanced technology to create mini stars to propagate nearby systems that may require light and warmth to speed up harvest productions on newly terraformed moons or planetesamals. Here we are looking at a part of that production, with the structures many probes, rods and styluses, they are somehow involved in the heavy process of stellar birthing.
To the right there is a wealth of colour, signifying an entertainments and recreation sector of this mega structured complex. Neon lighting, giant screens, full of casinos, bars, clubs and resteraunts all there to entice and entertain the wreary labourer or traveller .
I set about creating this sci-fi piece using elements from earlier works, a collage what have you without it looking like a collage. Primarily a lasso'd piece with more use from the mouse instead of the pen.
Currently being used for a project with Darkhouse Software.

Thank you Friend.
I wanted to capture something vast and unusual. The concept of building mini stars was the idea behind this.
Anyhow I've partly got you to thank, as your work is a inspiration for me.
Cheers buddy

Fuck man, you are awesome. And that glow from the larger star on the left is great, it draws the eye without domintaing the entire picture and detracting from all the others brilliant details. Top stuff.

Its good to see you are an apprciator of art. Theres far more artwork out there that I would love to be like, but that just encourages me more and gets the creative juices flowing.
An artist I came by, by accident named Pete Amachree just blew me away with his work. You can find his work in my favourites. You will know what i mean when you see work like his.
Kind regsrds,

I've actually already looked at his art after reading your journel entry on his work. You're right TK, its GREAT stuff! That kind of conceptual work is one of my favourite styles of art.

This is great, I love the idea of having artificial suns to help the production of the harvest the girls face on the side reminds me of Blade Runner! I didn't notice her at first, she is subtle yet effective!
Beautiful piece, good sense of depth! How long did this take you all together?

Great concept -- critique wanted?
That the stars are not giant but somehow smaller as usually is immediately clarified by the lighting of the suspension. But I fail to find a further hint towards how big they actually might be.
There is also no further sign of activity, of building, of the artificial suns. There should, in my view, be something that indicates the work that you describe in the text, take place. Instead, the two figures and the vessel in the foreground radiate an intense casual feel that dominates the picture even though they are in the shade.
The relationship of the huge structures or ships in the background top right remains unclear --- which may be your intention. But they seem not to be just passing, or accidently in the background. Then what are they doing?
Lassoing previous work into one adds loads of richness, obviously. And you overdid it only a little bit. Mostly it meshes really well.
Still, the idea and the way the suspension of the mini suns is facilitated is just great.

Sorry Eon.
I do seem to of missed you out within the chain of comments. Please accept my apologies it was not intended deliberate.
I'm blowing a lot of rules out of the window with this one. Simply laying down the intitial concept feel. Again I think I am trying to explore that facination with vastness and distance in my own way or interpretation I have going on up in that noggin (brain) of mine.
Again I like to leave a sence of impact but also mystery or obscurity within the piece, leaving comment open to the viewers interpretation . Im not intending to go for correctness with science here. Im attempting to increase that sence of wonder and awe to the overall composition. However some rules you have covered would not go amiss and give the body of work more plausibility, credibility gratis.
Thank you Friend for your constructive comments.

P.s. How is your project website getting on, I noticed one of my pieces in there. Thank you very much.
