After the announcement including this guy yesterday afternoon, I thought to myself, I've got to make a quick fan pic of him. I'll probably come back to this pic and modify it some later.
Am I really the 1st person to post fanart of him? I'm googling and searching other art sites and I see nothing. Am I the 1st person ever to draw Barrett fanart? Wiiiiiiiierrrrrrrrrd
Megaman Legends 3 is still in development and is nearing completion at a fast rate (Already at 25%). With the help of the fans, Capcom is helping us get what we would want in a game we wanted for 11 years. Why not contribute to the game yourself?

Anywho, The video introducing Barrett is below, he isn't replacing Megaman, but he is playable (?) I could be wrong.

I'm really likingthis guy, he looks pretty cool. I decided to do a fan pic because I WANTED to draw him, pretty much for S&Gs and to get it out the way, I have to admit, this is the quickest pic I've made yet.

Actually, they changed it from canceled to 'indefinitely postponed' due to the petition. We just need more signatures to win them the rest of the way over. Besides, if you meen the devroom message, that's pretty old. Capcom hasn't updated that site in a while.

Nobody has made art for him because at the moment almost everyone hate the fact that you'll play as him instead of megaman in the downloadable demo.
This can be viewed as "haters gonna hate", but actually the inclusion of this character could ruin sales since kiddies won't see megaman and they'll be disappointed.
"This is not megaman!" they'll say, and then they won't buy the game. then we'll say hello to another 11 years till they pay attention to the legends series again.

Well If anyone were to analyze the situation, seeing the scans, artwork. Megaman can't be playable until he's rescued. That's the problem with fans today, they assume and get frustrated over things they do not understand and there isn't too much info.

This is a nice pic, liking the colors and dynamics used(reminds me of a Falcon Kick).
I wonder if he's going to be the incarnation of Protoman/Blues for this series...

I'm thinking the same thing, the red leg armor gives that feeling. (Megaman Legends and starforce never had a red sidekick that was awesome)

The red boots are actually special weaponry, which allow him to do the flaming dive-kick. So don't assume that he's a reference to Protoman in that respect just yet.

And the blue armor for Megaman are special too. I actually was aiming towards Capcom's casual, awesome red armored characters that they always do. (Protoman. Zero, etc.) I'm not saying he's anyone yet, just naming his potential.

Nice. Great angel. Saw a video of him last night, he looks like a riot to play. I love that he has the Ninja Turtle kick.
Also, what's up with the buildings in the video? The models are all clean but the buildings look like they're ripped from MML2.

I noticed that too, it bothered me a little bit, but I'm guessing that they are using placeholders for now. They have 75% of development to go so why not?
