Description
Two Prudential Plaza hiding out behind the Jay Pritzker Pavilion. Two Prudential Plaza is my favorite building in Chicago but unfortunately it sits right between two really boring buildings. Never been able to get a clear shot of it without it being crowded out.Related content

Where were you standing to make the photograph look like this...? The buildings in the US sure look different from our tiny homes 'n stuff.

The one in front is an amphitheater, so I was standing in the seating section.

People would freak if they saw where I was standing for this shot. Absolutely nothing special at all.

Well you couldn't tell about any "boring" neighborhood from this shot. I totally love the angle above the rooftop in the foreground!

Thanks. It's actually an amphitheater section of tiling. [link] . The Two Prudential Tower is always hemmed in no matter what angle you approach it, so I decided to do something completely different with the two buildings.

Thanks, Helen. Hopefully I'll be sharing Chicago for a bit. Took a lot of shots that day but don't know how many I'll post just yet.

One of my favorite cities. Lake Michigan is one of the many great things that Chicago has to offer. It's so large and with the white sand beaches you can almost forget it's not the ocean.

Thanks, Adam. It was murderously hot and I must have walked a good 5 miles down Michigan Ave taking shots of various buildings and sites. I'll be posting more this week, a little at a time so as to not spam peoples inbox.

I kind of reminds me of the Liberty Towers in Philadelphia.

I looked them up and you're right. Wonder if the same guy designed them both? Beautifuly workmanship on both, especially the use of colored glass and the crowns on the buildings.

I actually went to the Franklin Institute once when they were building them. They had the telescope aimed at the top of Liberty One, which was the only one at the time. Pretty cool.
Did you see a pic of them lit up? Awesome lighting.

No, the shots I saw were day ones. Reminds me I need to get to Chicago at night with my tripod and see what's going on.

You really can't see the colors, but here's an idea at the top of the radio station site. [link]
