It was a hard one to get the negative space portioned properly but it seemed to come together better as a wall than a vertical image. Also used some cool abstract mapping on this one.

Great shapes and use of colour. I love the 'glow' this image seems to have.

Thank you. I added some mapping to get the grid to glow, so I appreciate you noticing.

A slight different style, more loose (low contrast) and noisy (like old film grain). Great, my friend.
The only constant thing is the change, and that's great, isn't it?

Change is the single most common thread in my life.

Very unique image! New age kinda feel and the texture really sets it off. Your creative diversity is, as always, cutting edge!

Thanks, Steve. I was using totally new formulas and pushing myself in new ways with this one.

Lovely, clean, glassy feel to this one. Love the fractal you used and the texture highlights you set with the white print-type dots.

Thanks. Texture was all mapping, which I don't do often but it fit the image this time.

Thanks. I was thinking of all those sci-fi shows where they rip into panels to repair things when I made this one.

Very nice image. The colors are splindid. I love the very grainy textrue and the patterns. I like the design very much its so industrial and yet smooth. a very nice contrast of ideas here. GREAT Wallpaper!!

Thanks, Ivy, you nailed exactly what I was aiming for. I was thinking of all those sci-fi shows where they rip into panels to fix things and it's all light and energy conduits under the metal.

nice to see you did something cool with those triangles ^^ it's a bitch to find the right coloralgorythmes for those but you solved it by using some cool textures.

Tell me about it. Getting them framed was the hardest part but I've been saving some mapping files I found that worked perfectly for the textures on this one.

this is my favourite deviation from you to date, i find the typo a bit too distracting, but other than that is is perfect imo.

love the typography and postwork.
the noise is quite cool too.
looks pretty simple compared to many other of your pieces, but there's nothing wrong with that, if anything, take my comment as positive reinforcement over your use of this particular style.
beautiful work jeff, beautiful.

Aeires In reply to xaphan [2005-09-18 04:49:53 +0000 UTC]
Thanks. I got you, I was going for a more minimalistic approach while keeping a technical feel to it. Finally used one of the mapping formulas I found a while back to get all the grids, just had to use some tricky masking to get them highlighted in certain areas.

The simplicity has a great effect in this! It seems to blur the thin line between minimalistic and too-simple, though. It's confusing.
