Ooh, I agree. You really feel like you could feel the heat from the glow in this one...stunning! I agree with the blackhole comments... while I don't really see it as the -death- of a star, I've interpreted it as a star being sucked into the black hole... which could very well be a new beginning rather than a death. We'll likely never know.

Actually, I think that's how stars are born. A black hole sucks up more than it can handle and explodes into a star. I'll have to ask my physics teacher tomorrow. Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

I'm seeing the birth of a star - the warm colors, radiance in all directions.... beautiful

Thank you. Most people see the death of one. Nice to have a positive take on that.

Jeff,
One of your best yet! Nice rotation and render. Lighting and gradient are perfect.

Looks like a sun exploding (or imploding), and perhaps starting to turn in on itself as a blackhole. Really nice effects in this one - also like the slight 'box' shape that was starting to occur in the background. Image looks like the cover to a physics book.

Thanks. The square was really evident in the original, but I played with the parameters to tone it down and make it less noticeable. Good eye in seeing it.

I was thinking that, but it'll have to wait a long time for me to learn how. Thanks.

Oh no you dont! you cant get away that easily from learning how to do a nice space background,, Just do what I do,,:CHEAT!!!! LOL.. I use Universe standalone ( not the plugin, it sucks!) made by Diardsoftware.... it is very kewl and easy to use. I have used it for years!!!
So now you dont have an excuse!..LOL

Actually, I have the full version of Universe. Just have no idea how to merge programs.

Casperium In reply to Aeires [2004-06-21 03:09:18 +0000 UTC]
Simple,,, after you render, just import your bmp into Universe, add stars etc where you want and export it (save) as bmp.. dont do joeg,, it makes it yucky looking...
preferable do any color ehancement and post before you use Universe, and voila! one nice space scene!LOL
