Description
Using light in slightly different ways than I usually do, I tried to make a softer image using a more pastel color base to give it an aquatic appearance with somewhat transparent sections. Proved a lot more difficult than I had anticipated, this one was torn down and rebuilt more than any other image I've created.Created in Ultra Fractal.

I like the tiny bits floating around, they give your spiral a lot of movement and a touch of "light" (as opposed to "dark") mystery . Your choice of colours is a surprise -a nice one! The result is so luminous and watery it almost feels like a link button! Lovely work.

Thanks. The more I look at it, the more it reminds me of offspring. If fractals are patterns found in nature, I guess this one is more natural than all my other ones.

The hard work definitely paid off

Thank you. Difficult formula, hardest yet to work with.

Nice to see something from you, Jeff I like the softness of it, but those little tiny bits floating around kind of throw me off.

Formula anomaly. I tried every trick in the book to clean them up but finally just settled for them being offspring, newly born.

I really like how tangible this is, with the solid soft colors of the central form. The tiny details are great for the aquatic fill. They remind me of plankton and little tiny sea-things. I also like the warm to color transition for added depth. Very nice!

Thank you. I had jelly fish in mind when making it. I think it's cool how they are translucent and show light through parts of their bodies so I tried to duplicate that some here.

I like the way the colors blend together to complete the image. Nice work here.

Thanks, working on color blending more in my newer works.

Awesome. I need to work on color blending more so than I have lately. Also, maybe make my fractals a little smoother.

title is very fitting to the image... like shapes swaying against an ocean wave

It had more ocean blue originally but after a long render one of the textures looked all screwed up. Zoom in fixed it.

that happens to my fractals sometimes, especially certain pixel textures... theyre very subtle on the final render, sometimes none show up... took me more than 2 failed renders to figure that out.
your use of texture is just right on this one...

This is an interesting design, Jeff! It's good to see you up and making stuff since da Bears happend! Anyway, I love the soft greens here and the shapes remind me of Starro from Justice League

Thank You. I stared at it for about 10 minutes before I finally saw what it was.
Anyway, keep up the great work. I can't wait till you have you next chat session.
