Description
Using light in slightly different ways than I usually do, I tried to make a softer image using a more pastel color base to give it an aquatic appearance with somewhat transparent sections. Proved a lot more difficult than I had anticipated, this one was torn down and rebuilt more than any other image I've created.Created in Ultra Fractal.

Interesting, but I must say I find the mini shapes a bit distracting.

It really does look like a lumanescent sea creature. I like your choice of colours - nice aquatic effect.....very beautiful.

Posturing won't change the fact that this is amateurish at best.

This is definitely something a bit different, and it feels refreshing to me. I also feel drawn to trying to see the scratched/spider-web sort of texture underneath it all.
What I think I like most is the main flow of energy--the strand of green lights that spiral in. Normally what we see a lot of are very complex spirals, multiple balls of light, and so on.. know what I mean? While here, the whole chain in is just one light wide spiralling in. Maybe I'm rambling, but I like that about it

Wow--yes, this is definitely different from the usual fractal. The softness has turned out very well; the spiral of 'lights' is a nice touch as well!

Thanks. I try to work with light in most of my work. At one point I could have had all kinds of light threads but decided a more subtle approach would be better, kinda have the light behind the subject instead.

Yes, it definitely turned out well; and it's not as formulaic as light threads tend to be.

Thanks, Elly. After reading your comment, it all made sense. Before that, I tried to erase them but glad I didn't because it helps give it a sea community feeling.

It realy was worth all the work you did on it - it came out so well and the colour and everything really work. I love all the deviations in your gallery - such a variety of delcate fractals and then you have your really strong photographic work - makes a stunning mixture and so interesting.

I love the colors. A tremendous job at creating the aquatic feel. I love the way the small bits look as though they are floating. Just as you would see drifting by an anemony in the ocean. Great job!
