I finally finished this painting. For the pose and the dress I used a stock photo by chrishankhah-stock:

With many thanks.

you should stop with those endless studies and start doing more of this!

I dont believe I can make paintings and evolve without those endless studies
I think it's the rate, the time I spend on painting is about the same as on drawing. Drawing is just much faster.

But....doesn't have the same value. Not to me, anyway. Your painting are much more moving for me.

There are little hints at the water and waterplants on the bottom. A kind of muddy pool with no reflection. I didn't really want to draw a lot of attention to that, mostly to not loose the composition. First it was my idea to do something with this picture and the Ophelia-theme (Hamlet) but in the process I decided to just hint at it and let it rest.

Wow.. This is the best use of my stock from anyone yet. Don't get me wrong--the photomanipulations people do are wonderful, but nothing quite beats a traditional piece of art, and this is absolutely fantastic. It's such an honour to be portrayed by such a talented artist. Thank you! This will be in my favourites for sure.
