History:
Matt in general had a good life before coming to Ivywood. When he was young his parents divorced, and stared own families, but he never experienced any downfalls of it - his family suddenly got even bigger. His mother gave a birth to another child, which is a sister he really treasures. As he got into adulthood he was clueless as to what he wants to do with his life. He knew he just wants to enjoy it, and meet nice people. One of his relatives took him once on a holiday trip to Ivywood, and that's when Matt really feel in love with the town, and especially the sea nearby it. As soon as h managed to save up enough money he moved out to Ivywood.

After meeting Tenebrae, and getting together with him, he used to freeload at his place a lot, until a suggestion came up - he was to help around at the bar his boyfriend was an owner of. For a while the swimmer was looking for a better way to earn money than his freelancing swimming, and hearing Tene could use a hand was like a sign. Matt didn't think much about it, and went with his offer, becoming a co-owner of the cafe.

Others:
-as a free-lancer swimmer he used to take photos of underwater scenery, now that he is swimming mostly for fun he tends to take pictures of everything around the Ivywood; whether he is good at it or not is questionable, but he is enjoying it a lot, sorry for all the stalkin pictures!;
-he stopped wearing his two-piece swimming suit under his clothes after it turned out it's visible under his working clothes, and it was no-good; he still uses it for swimming in his free time though;
-most of his water Pokemon got a special aquarium in the bar, where they can swim freely, and make friends with the customers; Matt used to dream about a big aquarium at him own place so this was a dream-come-true - thank you Tene-bae;
- Freya doesn't really like Matt in general, he has a problem with dog mons and anything coming even close to a dog; his girlie does a good job at being a guard "dog" when he is working though - no one is robbing him for sure, and let's be honest he is such an easy target;
-secretly dreams of becoming a father of some sorts, hide your children.

Relationship:
Lord0fMelons 's Tenebrae : boyfriend; even after all the silliness Matt put him through, Tene accepted his weird attitude, and finally let him get close; after that it didn't take long before they became a couple. The man is a whole world to him, and he couldn't be happier than to have him close.

Jiyuria 's Emilia : friend; they hit it off fast when it turned out they are both as clueless about fashion as they can be, but both love colour green. Matt visits her farm after work, bringing her occasionaly some food as she is always short on that. She is like his second sister.
