History: He was born and raised in Eterna City of the Sinnoh region by his parents and older brother. His love for myths and legends was birthed by the legendary Pokémon statue in the heart of the city. While other kids played games and hung out, he spent whatever freetime he had gawking at the statue and wondering at the meaning of the plaque's inscriptions, which he could still recite to you today. Because of this conflict of interests, he never really had many friends and often hung out with only his brother. When he was 8, his brother left on his own adventure, giving him his necklace so that he would not forget him. After that, he moved to Canalave City with his parents and his main source of entertainment became the library. His favorite story was "Veilstone's Myth." He was lonely for a long time without his brother, and spent most of his time in the library or sitting alone by the water until he met a Starly and it became his only real friend. He proceeded to get a part time job helping out on a boat that ran from Canalave to the Iron Islands. He used half of the money to support his family, and the rest he put into savings. After a few years, he had saved enough money to travel to a different region and chose to go to Borealis to study its mythology. His parents were sad to see him go, but they were prepared for it, having gone through the same thing with his brother. Starly was heartbroken, and it was hard for Cy to leave her, but he called his brother and convinced him to train the small bird Pokémon until he returned to Sinnoh and could train her himself.
