Well, Eris' face was already disfigured more or less canonically after/during the KoF campaign, anyway. That, and her initial design had three red stripes tattoed on her left cheek, which she attempted to hide with her hair. I just decided to mar the left side of her face entirely for some reason (I'll BS one sooner or later). I guess I just like throwing disfiguring scars on people.

This may be weird, but I actually find the disfigurement attractive in this case. Do you have any story behind this scar? Spell from a fire mage burned her face, or something?

I feel awful for saying it, but I think every girl should have some sort of scar.
I'mma roll with the original reason for it, though. As a member of the legendary (original) Questers, she went up against Scyros, the God of Chaos, alongside her companions during the Key of Fates campaign. It was there she received her wounds, which also greatly weakened her health.
