It seems very original to me. There's great symmetry, and expression in her position and place.
The lack of color/muted color gives it a very real (and though this is contradictory- cinematic) feel.
The small vignette(?) in the center of the trees and the snow adds to the photo rather than detracting from the woman and the thing she's in. What is that btw?

this is a copper sculpture done by a grad student, dustin. it's behind the sculpture / printmaking building on the edge of campus, next to paradise creek (where the trees are).

It looks almost sci-fi.
The colors are very nice and rich.
The angel of the shot is a pleasant surprise.
Although the composition is simple it is also very strong. By placing your figure just below the centerline you have added interest to the photo
