Not so pure Daleks... pretty much explains for itself. rofl. This was pretty much my reaction to the new Daleks. I thought they were power rangers themed or something. (Not that I'm saying I don't like them, I do.. ish. Still prefer the RTD bronze types, but that is my opinion.)Anyways... this is my contest peice for the "First contest" in the Dalek group.
Skittles Dalek is my favorite.
PLEASE DO NOT COMMENT OR RANT ABOUT HOW YOU LIKE/DISLIKE THE NEW DALEKS ON THE SHOW! THIS IS NOT THE PLACE!!! COMMENT ON THE ART ONLY! I will start hiding your comments, I'm tried of answering them if they don't relate to the art.
Aw. my 11 is so strange looking >.< First time I drew him. Aw well, just got to practice. XD.

Ah, c'mon. it's still Doctor Who. I'm a fan on both the old and new series. Each has both cool versions of the classic monsters, each having a turning point. This is just another one. Until then, this is HILARIOUS!!! Nice job.

heehee. I'm not "hating" the new look (not anymore.. jsut got use to it, but I like the old and RTD look better), I jsut thought it a funny. But I now heard from a clip of Moffat saying that the new Daleks have speaical secret weapons just are to be annouced in the new season. Oh can't wait. Thanks for the comment

Your welcome. I wished they'd bring back the daleks from the Daleks invasion of earth.Those ones had a same bottom. They look about the same height as the new ones, and look striking awesome.Did the new models travel back and resurrect the older ones, modifying them in the process?

Well, I sort think that is what happen. Have you seen "Victory of the Daleks?"(S5E3) The Protogene thing was supposely the Daleks in their "purest" form, which I take that as being of the older models, but updated with new tech and flashy colors. Moffat said the influence was from an eariler verison that had colors and the same height, so maybe it was from that episode you said. And that's where I got my idea,it's aparady of the scene where the news ones rolls out of the doors of the chamble thing.

If it's between the Bling and the Skittles I'll take skittles every time - I mean I know skittles isn't the BEST design they could have chosen, but if I have to choose between Dalek Sec and his stumpy bling-boys as opposed to the tall and imposing rainbow hippy-Daleks then it's really not a choice. I mean the Doctor is NOT supposed to look DOWN at the Daleks (yet Eccleston and Tennant had to bend DOWN to be eye-level with the Daleks and that was ridiculous) their supposed to be the intimidating ones
I wish they'd do something closer to the ORIGINAL Dalek design - ditching the 'tube' lights would be nice and a more shiny finish would be better along with armor that looked like ARMOR instead of a metalic after-thought or a plastic bottle-finish... but -shrug- anything is better than the bling dwarves IMO

I thought they looked like a boy band. The set, the way they came out and to a lesser extent their colours. Pink is not the new black for Daleks.

Oh. High council? Didn't hear that before. I just know the red guy is the "drone" so I'm guessing he's basically the multiple solider type. idk. What I do know is that these guys show up in the new game that's been released June 5th, so I'm so taking the chance to kick their colorful butts
