Not so pure Daleks... pretty much explains for itself. rofl. This was pretty much my reaction to the new Daleks. I thought they were power rangers themed or something. (Not that I'm saying I don't like them, I do.. ish. Still prefer the RTD bronze types, but that is my opinion.)Anyways... this is my contest peice for the "First contest" in the Dalek group.
Skittles Dalek is my favorite.

I did this in Photoshop CS3 + my wacom. Took about.. meh..3-4 (maybe longer, I don't time myself very well. rofl) hours from sketching to inking then coloring to finally text.

Ah. yes by hand, but with some reference to looks at (not copy of corse). And when I saw by hand, I mean my digital wacom pen. aka I can draw right onto the screen. (wacom cinitq 21ux, the first line of models, not the newest ones the recently put out)

It's a gene bank of the purest Dalek gene pool. The machine behind the Daleks uses it to create and "birth" the new Daleks. It was suppose to be the last remain gene thingy.
They explain it in the ep (S0503:Victory of the Daleks).

YES!!! Those new Daleks were a bunch of pansies! I hope the Daleks aren't going to still be like that next time they make an appearance. Well, obviously the so-called 'master race' will still look like that, but I hope the standard minion Daleks will still be the same.
I mean, they are supposed to be the evil-est creatures in the universe, not the most fashionable...

Oh, np about the rant. I had a row of my own sometime ago. lol. I'm thinking that they're coming back for the final ep and that they're doing something with the cracks. Just my thinking/opinion, not saying that I'm right. Anyways, I do know that the red is the "drone" so we'll be seeing more of him. Also these verison of Daleks show up in the new game (interactive ep as they are calling it)which is coming out for free download June 5th. Oh.. can't wait. First DW offical game. ^^

I thought they might have a Cyberman final episode this season. They have already featured in the trailer, but haven't showed up this season yet, and we are almost halfway (at least in Australia). I mean, think about it, they're the only major enemies of the Doctor who haven't showed up this season yet...well, them and the master, but I don't reckon he'll show up again for a while...
But, like you, there's the possibility I could be wrong. I do agree with the cracks idea in the finale, though!
