Finally! Something for you all to "enjoy" for February! I hope you all like it! I just want to point out, though. I've reused some animation from "SnK-Intro" for this.
Due to laziness, I haven't programmed this game to let you play as Knuckles. Instead, you can only play as Sonic. And there's only one stage playable at the moment (Mushroom Hill Act 1). If this game is ever to be finished, I'll be needing a good ActionScript 2.0 game programmer. No way i can do this on my own, I'm just a humble animator.
This is fake by the way.

Funny, you tricked me into thinking I could play cause when the game started I was trying to move LOL. Good graphics, and that blue screen made me jump and at the end got who, got you really got me. The title screen was redone pefectly and so was the (very very little) gameplay, well not really game play. It would be good if you could make this a real game that would be cool. Haha I really wasin't expecting that! Sonic, Tails , Knuckles and Eggman were funny too! When the blue screen came up I actully jumped! I'm such a scardy cat! The title screen was made perfectly! Just like the real game! I'm going to play the actul game now! Tails looked like he was about to burst out laughing! You really got me! and I thought I was untrickable! You showed my brain who's boss! I'm gonna totally show my friends and famaly! Thanks for making this!

This was brilliant! I figured it had to be a video after I couldn't control the title screen, but I wasn't expecting the end at all!
First, I was expecting a gameplay demo. Then, I was expecting a beautiful animated video of sonic running through Mushroom Hill, judging by your past work. Then, I was sucker-punched by a beautiful blue-screen-of-death and mocking recreation of the classic NO WAY? NO WAY! screen. My expectations were riding a roller coaster of anticipation the entire time until the final gag. It takes a masterpiece to manipulate emotions like that and I must say that this work fits the bill.
The art was amazing, and I was a little bit put out that I couldn't play a real game with it. Still, for what it was, it was beautiful. I felt that the Mushroom Hill scene was a little lacking and off-model. The mushrooms were too small and the area felt rather empty compared the original version, but I got so caught up criticizing it, the blue screen of death and the wonderfully animated GOT YOU! GOT WHO? screen took me completely by surprise. Everything was animated superbly and perfectly matched up with their classic counterparts.
Even though it is another remake of the classics in a higher resolution format, yours is one of the rare few that professed itself to be a 2D version, and it was a refreshing breath of fresh air, especially to a classics-loving. pixel artist like me.
If I were you, I'd seek out a superb programmer and team up with them to actually create a real masterpiece like this.
Overall, this was a gorgeous and hilarious display of animation and I must give it 5 stars, two thumbs up, and as many likes as I can possibly generate for it.

When I started playing this, I was speechless. This is AMAZING! Best remake of a game, ever! So much detail put into this! And its only one level... I just cant wait for the full game to come out!! *insert more letters that fill up the minimum just a bit just because i can here* Dare I say it, its better than the orignal!! oh man...
when i first started the "game", i was wondering why Sonic wasn't moving. so i clicked the game to see if maybe it wasn't focused into the animation, but it still wasn't moving. i was like, "what the heck?" to my brother, and i tried to move the arrow keys a few more times. i got a little frustrated and used the wasd keys, but he wasn't moving either. i started yelling "G'DARNIT" really loud (which made my parents look at me funny). and THEN the ending screen came up and i was laughing super hard.
Eggman's face, tho. and Knuckle's eye roll.
