in fact this has been a commission and has been just what the customer told me to paint. but you've still got me, I've googled this phenomenon to see how glowing waves look like to paint them

Beautiful. I really like the rippling way you portrayed the water, and the bits of purple and green with the blue gives the wave a rather surreal appearance. This is a lovely painting. Β
