I've been reading Redwall and Narnia (via audiobook) and decided that this had to happen.
There are so many similarities!! I mean, sword-wielding mice and wise old badgers?! I think I've got to do one with Constance and Trufflehunter. (Sparra vs. Phoenix
)I based the design for Reepicheep off the 3D character design in the movie of Prince Caspian. I've never seen a Redwall movie, though I'm pretty sure there's one out there. I've seen screenshots. *shudder* They make Matthias look so silly. I wanted him to look like he was in the thick of battle, not like the floppy-sandaled mouse he was in the beginning of the book.
I'd like to do more fanart from these books someday...I have a few Narnia-related sketches underway currently.

I like to think that at the end of Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Reep went from the ends of the world (the edge of Narnia) to Mossflower Wood, where he continued his adventures.
What a wonderful story that would be, huh?

Narnia and Redwall are my consistent fantasy worlds and they both are very inspiring for art!

*cough, snort* Hahahahahaha! Great idea! The look on Reepicheep's face makes me think that this is more of a practice fight; I mean, I've never heard of two mice sword fighting each other for real in the actual books (although it does happen in fanfiction, including one of mine - well, one of mine in the making). And you're right; Matthias looks like a - well, like a dork in the animated movie. I wish they'd used your design; he looks like a normal, sane creature who might actually be a warrior here.

When I first read Redwall, I didn't have it in my mind that the woodlanders wore much clothing, except for the habits. But I suppose they do sometimes. I think the Redwallers wouldn't be too judgemental; I'd just like to see their faces if they ever saw a centaur. "I say, ol' thingy, whatever's a chap need six footpaws for, laddiebuck?"

The series isn't all that good. Most of the voice actors aren't the best and the dialogue is, in my opinion, terrible at some points, but I haven't really watched it all that much. Still, some of the scenes are good. I'll leave you to your own opinion.

O hhe's hillarious! He was Martin the Warrior's best friend! He goes by the title Prince Of Mousetheives. He's kind of like a Robin Hood figure, only a lot more humorous. XD
