Description
Just a quick preview before I can get a photoshop style photo done. Huge, full metal, actually works. Motor is slow for convention safe, rather frustrated with that though. Next one will use a RC little gas engineVideo of me crying: [link]

I want to dress up and use it to trim my hedges with flair on a nice Sunday afternoon! No kids in my yard ever...

Nah, just a few months (and a solid month of long days) worth of work coming together. Finally assembling everything.

Now thatΒ΄s a steampunk ΓΌberweapon.
Would not want to be itΒ΄s target...

Assumed that thing were real.
The description mentioned a weak motor, but if it were as strong as it were in itΒ΄s "real" universe, then... good bye

true true, I hope that one day I will have the right materials and skills to make that a reality. Not killing you but making one that actually frighteningly works

Good luck, and donΒ΄t get yourself hurt, those motorchain things are to be handled with care for a reason.

Absolutely. I really don't need any more injuries right now. The satisfaction of having a fully functional one would be worth the inherent risk, just it would have to be treated with the utmost caution and respect.

Try using a high-speed RC helicopter motor.Β Those have a lot more torque, and can be geared up (somewhat higher voltage though, it looks like you're using a 9V motor there, helicopters use 12-18V motors).Β That should give you a higher speed (plus the battery pack being a belt-fixture would look more steampunk anyway).

Ipso facto my good sir. Perception makes reality. It looks bad ass, therefore it is bad ass!
