" BETHLEHEM "

APPEARANCE

At first sight you would have no idea of Bethlehem's inner powers. He has a quite tall and slender build for his breed, standing at notable 18HH. His velvety coat is ablaze in a beautiful dark blue, becoming lighter near the mid section. His mane and tail are thick and flow into a light wave, possessing a silky quality. Bethlehem's tail is a shade darker than his base coat but ends in a beautiful baby blue, matching the elaborate trees upon his powerful shoulders and rump. His mane is the same bold blue but rather than ombre-ing, it has streaks of the baby blue throughout. It is very rare to see Bethlehem without a braid in his often messy mane. Bethlehem's eyes are a radiating white, like the stars upon his coat - said to have guided the three Wise Men - thus bringing upon his name. His hooves are small for his body type and are striped. Upon his head are stupendous antlers, coordinating with his deep mane colour. The antlers embrace a luminescent white orb, the source of the power he possesses but is yet to be discovered..
He is sure to stand out in the crowd, but he seems to be oblivious to all the eyes glued onto him.

PERSONALITY

Bethlehem is not the kind of outgoing and simplistic creature most might expect. He is ever so quiet and reclusive, only wishing to be enclosed in the private corridor of his brain. He often finds himself wishing that he were like the others, but Bethlehem is exceedingly intelligent and realizes these thoughts are irrational - he should only be the best version himself. He seeks not to be part of the crowd, but instead seeks to be excepted. His insecurities hold him down like chains, he prays to be freed in the fullness of time. Bethlehem is particularly tongue-tied around women, especially women whom he is sexually attracted to. He has discovered a safe haven within literature, finding himself expressly interested in anything about astronomy or constellations. Despite what many might consider his "shortcomings", Bethlehem is quite strong and determined. He has a heart stronger and more remarkable than any precious rock or diamond. It will be the incredible strength and will that sets him free from the chains that tie him down - ones of insecurity and self hatred. Anyone lucky enough to reach past his delicate shell will find a truly unique and sweet soul. Gaining his trust is a great accomplishment and milestone to the finding of his inner self.

HISTORY

As a child, Bethlehem had no knowledge of his true parents or their whereabouts. He had no clue where he was born, or where he belonged.. When just a mere day old, he was left in the middle of a forest. He was discovered by a sweet little mare who took him in as her own and nursed him to health. Bethlehem and his "mother" had an unbreakable bond, and his love for her was endless. She had a heart of gold, and no one could ever take the place she had in Bethlehem's own. They would always go out into the fields in the late night and gaze upon the heavenly body. She would tell him how he was named after a very special star. His mother had so many tales of how the gods made up the constellations, stories Bethlehem always loved. His most memorable moments with her were when she would stroke his mane with her soft muzzle and sing to him his favorite lullaby - Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Every single night she sang it to him; at the coda she'd nuzzle him and say, "Bethlehem - the most beautiful and pure - you are the one I love, my dear." On Bethlehem's first Birthday he was awoken abruptly when a monstrous stallion dressed in a dark cloak took his mother away. His mother knew it was coming, though she did not know why. A note lay in her place and it read: "Bethlehem, my love, I do not have much time. They have come. Someday you will understand, but for now - the solution to any problems you may have lay in your heart. Stay true to the pure young stallion you are, I'm sorry.." He had no idea what this meant, but he knew his life had just shattered in a million pieces. He had no one, all he had was taken from him. Bethlehem lay at his mother's sleeping place for 3 days, his body began to shut down. He thought it best if he died, he had nothing left to live for. But miraculously some unknown force brought him back, a second chance to thrive, despite the tragedy the man in the cloak had brought upon him. Bethlehem's fate was not meant to be what had happened, he was old enough to understand that. He began the search to find his mother, but with no luck. Soon he realized that he should continue doing what he and his mom and loved most - study the stars and celestial body. He read for practically nonstop for months upon months during his travels to find his mother.. After years of searching he made the decision to start building a new life, but never stop the search to find his beloved caretaker.

MAGIC

Bethlehem has the power to create and manipulate stars and stellar material. It will take him time and determination to reach his full abilities, but there is no doubt he can learn to wield his powers.
