Building on what I learned in Flutterpaint fav.me/d7gajb2 , I used masks to help create cleaner values. As an experiment, I merged duplicate layers into one mask to hold the values...not the best approach for multi-colored characters let me just say. The inking turned out nicer here too. I'm pretty happy overall. Now that I have a value method all set, I can get back to posing characters and making more interesting pictures...not that Fluttershy isn't interesting, because she is What I mean is, now I can get back to drawing more dynamic poses and compositions using what I've learned so far. I want to keep the drawing feel, but add in some values to create more dimension in the characters.
