oh my god, so amazing I fail miserably at scales and feathers. This is so amazing and captured perfectly. So envious of your talents from both drawing and the pipe cleaner making. You have been blessed with such amazing gifts.

Aw, thank you.

Though I did get to a point where I almost gave up on it(detail can be frustrating ),I am so glad I completed it. One of these days I'll have to draw or paint a snake again--they are such beautiful creatures.

Nice work on scales! I guess it wasn't a piece of cake...

Thanks! No, it wasn't easy. Though it was sort of meditative after a while...kinda nice.
I did figure out that lightly laying down a kind of grid before drawing the scales really helped me place them right.

I guess I would also sketch a grid before drawing every individual scale

Young python? It's great! I read once that they could be tamed. But live rats... oh, you are right.
I saw racers in the wild, when we have practice in Don steppe, and they were really beautiful! And they didn't afraid of us.

Thank you! I know, aren't they awesome? I almost wish snakes really could get as big as the one in the movie....but then, we wouldn't have lasted very long

I love big snakes especially anacondas and constrictors and I want such reptile as a pet and talk with it in snake language))

I've had the priviledge of holding a young python. One of the coolest experiences of my life, and it made me want to have one as a pet....until the owner told me that she(the snake) only eats live rats.
But to speak snake would be cool. When I was little, I had a striped racer for a pet and always wondered what it would be like if he could talk.
