At least I think it allows more sketchy drawings than a white paper because dark base gives lots of contrast by itself. ^^

I don't know if I'd say nasty per say, just refusing to share it's secrets on how to manage it properly.

I am still in progress of learning secrets of black paper drawings; the paper really has a bad habit of eating colors. But I am fascinated about it so far so maybe we just have to try different kinds of pencils to find out which ones work best on black base?

Mm. I think so. I'll have to make a colour chart to see which colours work well and which don't with my pencils. I've got a few awesome art books that touch on coloured and dark paper that I've only glanced at for that area. Between that and practice, I'm sure we can figure it out. ^^
