Description
This is a cute creature I came up with: literally combining turtles and tortoise beetles.

Name: Beetle Turtle
Size: between 10 and 20 cm
Habitat: usually rivers, ponds, marshes and swamps
Diet: plants, fruits, insects, mollusks, worms, carrion
Lifespan: 80-100 years

Lifestyle:
These curious animals actually can move around on land, in water AND in the sky. They usually live in self-dug burrows in freshwater habitats and are omnivores. Interesting that they are quite intelligent as they live in family groups consisting of a male, a female and their offsprings. The female usually have a clutch of two or three eggs, which is usually guarded by one parent as the other is looking for food. If their habitat becomes unsuitable for them to live, they set off into the sky to find an another place. Though not that quick, they are surprisingly capable flyers, despite only doing so in times of need.
Though their shell is quite durable they have an extra method of defending themselves by releasing a foul odor from the glands underneath their tail.
