This is really a big project. I know why you had nightmares. I don't worked with satin again after I tried once.
It will be better if we can see bigger picture or more detail of those stuff.

The only reason why I requested everything to be made out of that material is for realism.
Everyone else seems to be using minky for armor and stuff. It looks dull. Satin has that metal-esque shimmer to it which makes it realistic.
I tried plushing back when I was a brony, satin did make me cry. But all of the pain and aggravationΒ sometimes turns out to be worth it, case in point here.
Main advice for it is know when and how to use it
Trust me I never want to purposely put someone through that misery if it'll look silly

Sewing it isn't the worst of it. That's what basting is for. Fraying, however, is going to be the death of you. I tried appliqueing it onto a pony's armor as I wanted my first pony to be a batpony. It frayed terribly and just came right off.
After I ruined it, I basically gave up and realized it wasn't for me.

I knew fraying would be the problem, I've handled the stuff. But I've also sewn with ultra cuddle which frays about 0.5" on one edge, but I got used to that even if I never liked it. ^^ I just figure satin will fray quicker.

amazing work on the paws and claws Β and everywhere else but the maw could use a little work. Since her lower beak is so small it might have been better to sew together both beaks as one cone Β thing and embroider where the beak would open likeΒ

Still loving my Dash I got from you a couple years ago. No problems! Quality is top-notch. She sits on top of my dresser most of the time though, but she's been taken to a few conventions!
