Description I really enjoyed this commission for The Masked Shrike of the character Pin Up Girl.

The pose is based on a George Petty "Petty Girl" pin up from the 40s or 50s, and her face is based on Bettie Page. Classic pinup fun.

Given the nature of the character, we opted for a recruitment poster instead of a magazine cover, and because of the style of the character and the colour scheme, I thought I'd go hog-wild with the patriotic fervour.

Happy Fourth of July, America!

*moves out of the way of the mass crush of people heading to the recruitment center*

Great job, I agree that this is better than a magazine cover.

PS: Might be noting ya soonly.

Thank you, oh great and wonderful Foo, for your awesome work on this! PinUp looks fantastic--you really did her proud. And what better way to celebrate the Fourth? I think this poster might inspire a few new resgistrants at Paragon City Hall. I salute the Foo!

Watch out for those Roman candles.

I'd also like to say that this is the most accurate depiction of her knives so far! Well done, sir.

I used the picture of them on Wikipedia to draw the knives.
