Description For the competition contest held by whose requirement for this round was choosing a time period for an OC, trying to get a nostalgic feeling with it, and throwing in a person of importance from that era. Looking at my casts, it was kind of apparent what period to go back to. This also gave me a chance to revisit an old favorite subject of mine... 007 himself! (If you can't tell by now, it's the early-mid 60s, when the spy-craze was in high-gear)

With the great Sean Connery, you got class AND outdated sexist early 60's behavior (see the first 10 minutes of Goldfinger for hilarious proof). Of all the girls who could be paired up with him decently, TimePeace's Rosey could pull off the look well without too much readjustment (just watch Thunderball for similar looks like hers). Throw in an attempted interior of an Aston Martin DB5 and a scenic mountain backdrop and VIOLA!

It was the first time in a loooong time I had done any James Bond fanart, so it was a fun stroll down memory lane for me. Wish me luck for the contest!

Double O heaven This is all just great Rosey is perfect bond girl and nice work on car interior and bonus points for picking best bond Sean connery (well he is scottish ) , Good luck with the contest

You do have a point, the ears are a wee bit more pronounced like Lazenby's but I was aiming for a Connery Bond with the facial expression. Thanks a lot for the comment nonetheless pal!

Its funny enough matey, Connery's Bond had a habit of being very "touchy" with women in those early films... it definatley was as you say though "the pinnacle" of the age.

I'll never forget Goldfinger mind you, especially that famous sequence when he meets the Aston...

Q: "On the gear lever there's a little red button. When you press it this section of the roof comes away and the passenger ejector seat comes out, whoosh!

Bond: "EJECTOR SEAT!, YOU'RE JOKING!!"

Q: "I remind you 007, I NEVER joke about my work!!"

Ah, Goldfinger was indeed a classic, no matter how overpraised it may get sometimes. Connery was a screen presence, and this was just a fraction of his winning charm! Thanks so much for the support, JB! Glad to hear from ya again!

I love JB movies! You did a nice caricature of young Sean!

I've recently read an article in Polish classic car magazine about the DB5 from the movies. It had many big, cool photos of the car and it's various spy gatgets. They actually made them work in real life to present the car on auto shows.

Oh, I've heard all about it in an old book I got years ago too! They even had other gadgets like a tack-dispenser for tires that were kept off of the movies due to fears of kids copying the ideas. Thanks for the comment, pal!

Very, very classy indeed. You got the time period spot on, especially the fashion, and 007's dour reaction to Rosey's charms is a hoot. (She's looking fab in that dress, btw.)

1. First off, so glad you submitted your entry on time. And with a week and a half to spare!
2. If the winner wasn't decided by vote, this would probably win hands down. I mean, you have Sean Connery. That's like insta-win right there.
