Description
What started out as wanting simply to draw a 60s Ford Econoline van turned into a Scooby-Doo parody as well.ĀMatt should have known better than to tell Goof about his intentions to drive his newly-bought van for work... as he's in constant contact with the kickline-cutups. And Livingston gets to make a Don-Knotts-like cameo!
The Ford Econoline belongs to Ford. Scooby-Doo belongs to Hanna-Barbara. Kickline, Ingaloo Zoo, and its characters belong to me. So does the artwork.
Comments and suggestions welcome.

With that paint job and the blocky proportions, there's no mystery with that machine, clearly. I can tell you took this idea and ran wth it, you matched each KL girl with the respective Scooby cast perfectly, I would certainly enjoy seeing a more aggressive Velma, and a cartoon show with a rhino as the team pet? It needs to happen.
The chalk outline is the icing on the cake here, well done Rich.

I'm actually surprised HB didn't try using a rhino as a wacky sidekick during their lower years (they tried nearly everything else). Thanks again, pal!

A fine homage to a cartoon that, in its various incarnations, runs the gamut from "a fine cartoon" to "a pretty awful cartoon."
Really interesting to see how you cast the girls and FINALLY the crossover we've all been waiting for! I guess he has to say "Livingston-Divingston-Doo," but soundlessly, as is his way.

It is amazing how a series like Scoob can get so many reboots while retaining a good chunk of its visual and storyline appeal (with a few necessary tweaks along the way) while many other HB toons never got anything outside of their original run. I suppose mystery shows never fully go out of style, even with a premise as silly as this one.
I won't lie. I let out a very audible laugh when I read "Livingston Divingston Doo," so well done there. And thanks for all the input on this tribute pic too!

Spaced out and always hungry - Candy fits Shaggy to a T. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Chelsea may likely make for the angriest, sassiest Velma ever.

I would agree that Chelsea would probably make an ill-fitting Velma from the original series, but recent incarnations made her a bit more acid-tongued which made me consider the match!
Silly casting aside, many thanks for the kind words here, Kyle!

I hope that the Harlem Globetrotters and an abandoned amusement park with hidden treasure for some reason are just around the corner.
I like the little Easter eggs of the name of the barber shop and the outline of J-Les on the pavement.

If not then it'll be Don Knotts and the Addams Family!
Good eye on the visual gags and many thanks for the comment here.

I think I'm looking at the 'hippo' with he same expression as Candy.
Cool art with a lot of little jokes, and I love Chelsea's quote.

Chelsea as Velma and Candy as shaggy are great! JLes chalk outline is the best though, that's a mystery no one would really care to solve. XDĀ Love it, Rich!

I'm guessing their mock-Mystery Machine will be cruising right over the outline. Thanks for the input here, glad you could enjoy!

The van here was actually the catalyst to making this pic a Scoob tribute, so it's less of a needed van and more of a needed paintjob.

OH MY GOD, I ROARED AT THE J-LES BODY OUTLINE. This is another excellent piece from you! I love the color palette and seeing the KL gang dressed as the Scooby-Doo gang.
I love what Veronica says and how Chelsea replies. xDĀ

Funny enough the J-Les outline was a last-minute addition for this one. Nonetheless, I'm glad it could be just as funny as the rest. Thanks a lot for the comment, pal!
