Description

After the many empires of man rose and fell, some of the last remnants of the Genus, Homo, struggled to survive at the dark corners of the earth, were seldom roam. One of these survivors is the Crab People (Homo crusta). They are the end of the human blood line. These tiny creatures dwell in the abyssal zones on aquatic planets. They are cloaked in full darkness, never seeing any light. They are the descendants of fish-like humans, who lost their legs and grew longer hands and fingers, appearing like lionfish. After pollution corrupted their sunlit ecosystems, they fled to the bottom of the ocean where strange creatures roam. Currently the blind albino creatures appear as something looking like a white crab, feeding off of chemosynthetic bacteria living in hydrothermal vents. As time went on, these “crab people” grew new legs from their fingers. Their bodies flatten to a more ground locomotion. Two fingers conjoined into claws used to grab prey. Their bodies grew sharp protective shells to protect them from larger fish predators. These tiny shelled men would fade out of existence with none to witness, marking another end to the human species.
