Again Nathaniel and Kitty. Mostly done with Wacom. It's so much easier to draw creases on their clothes and the crust of the trees with a tablet!
Now I really should do a pic of Bartimaeus as Ptolemy... 
Reason for edit in 2009: I absolutely HATED the way Nathaniel's face looked like, and their hair was also too dull (the original pic was done on my old, too dark monitor which tricked my eyes).

wow! it DOES look a lot better, now! funny, I was talking about this Trilogy just yesterday (I was bothering my mom at the airport because she hasn't read it! I was reminded of it because I felt like the guy in the third(?) book who had the boots that made him walk fast (sort of) when I walked on the moving floor. xD)

Nat looks much sleeker and handsome in your new version (I still have a copy of the old one that I saved onto my computer...I think his previous face did make him look kind of old). Is it just me, or did you also alter Kitty's features a bit? Her eyes seem more direct.

Unfortunately I only ever got through the first book and maybe a few chapters of the second.
I went and read some of the other comments on this art [because I always do this] and one went "I can't believe Nathaniel died!" which made me just go "...WHAT?!!? D:"
So now I have to go read the first book again and read the other two. XD

I found the first book hard to get through, it took me about... I dunno, 3 months? It was rather difficult for my 12-year-old brain.

I liked the first one the most of all three. Yes, the first 100 pages were slow, and they took me about a month to get through, but once past page 100 things got extremely quick and captivating and I read the remaining 400 pages in about... three days? Though I can imagine that book must be a little hard to follow for a twelve-year-old. It's rather a book for young adults (even if it's advertised as a children's book...)
