Description FULLVIEW! Looks better that way...

After I saw Superman Returns two weeks ago and absolutely fell in love with the movie (with the new Superman himself too, LOL), I thought it was time for some Superman-related art (and more to come soon...)

This is Lois Lane (more or less based on Kate Bosworth from SR), between Superman II and Superman Returns. Pregnant and lonely, waiting for her love to return, but the bastard is gallivanting among the stars, oblivious to the fact that he'd knocked her up in S II. Poor, poor Lois...
Btw, I LOVED the child-plottwist in SR. It was original and refreshing, and lil Jason was such a cuuuutie! Supes having a kid who accidentally throws pianos across the room is FUN...

Btw, for those who liked the SR movie, I've started writing a post-SR fanfic. You can check it out here: [link] If you read it, be sure to review!

Nice work. i loved the plot twist of the little boy. He was really cute. The best moment was when super man was on tv and clark was next to him and he realized they were the same and had an asthma attack. Really adorable!

OMG. This adds a whole new level of sympathy for this character. I hated her in the movie because she was so bitchy, but now I totally understand. I can't BELIEVE I didn't even think about how miserable her pregnancy must have been. Though, she found Richard pretty fast...

πŸ‘: 1 ⏩: 1

AgiVega In reply to MissMakeBelieve [2006-12-07 19:30:37 +0000 UTC]

Yes, the fact that she hooked up with Richard so fast that she MIGHT not even have known who the father of her child was until Jason threw the piano, irked me a lot. I never thought Lois would jump from Superman's bed into someone else's so quick. That was disappointing. So even if in 'canon' she only found out that Superman was Jason's father when Jason threw the piano (at least accoring to the novelisation of SR she hadn't known it before the piano incident), I tend to imagine that she had always known Jason's true paternity, and she'd been mad at Superman for having left her pregnant. That's how I wrote her in my fanfiction - I wanted her to be less of a bitch than she is in canon.

No wonder your name looked familiar!! Thanks for the reviews. I'm glad you like the fic! But man, my muses have left me for the time being. That's why I haven't updated and it's not that I'm trying to be cruel or something.

I read your Soul Searching story and I loved it! When are you going to update?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AgiVega In reply to DTaina [2006-10-13 15:25:58 +0000 UTC]

I will update Soul Searching as soon as my beta gets chapter 3 done for me. My updates are no longer up to me, as the fic is almost fully written - I'm currently writing chapter 17, the final one. I asked my beta to get chapter 3 done for me by Friday, but I think she's too busy... well, perhaps there will be an update over the weekend *let's keep our fingers crossed*
I hope your muse finds you again soon. This is why I always give people the advice to write the fic fully before they start to post it, because if they don't, and they get a writer's block, their readers will be mad... and deprived

DTaina In reply to AgiVega [2006-10-13 17:03:57 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, if I make them wait any longer, I think they're going to find a way to show up at my door with pitchforks and torches, demanding that I post chapter five. [LOL] I'm so glad I didn't end the chapter with Superman apparently dying.

Thanks for the advice, but that just doesn't work for me. I come up with the story as I go along and the comments help me decide what to write next. It's like interactive fanfic and... I don't know, it's more fun for me, and for the readers, too, I hope. Well, talking to you may have brought back my muses, so... back to writing!

I can't wait to see what you have coming up next on "Soul Searching." Don't make me wait too long, please!

>Thanks for the advice, but that just doesn't work for me. I come up with the story as I go along and the comments help me decide what to write next.

I'm different in this respect. I don't let the readers decide for me what they want to read. I have my own ideas for my fics, and I wouldn't let anyone else decide about the plot. Call me stubborn

>I can't wait to see what you have coming up next on "Soul Searching." Don't make me wait too long, please

It all depends on my beta. Hope you'll like the rest of the chapters too and will review some of them

Hehehe... well, it's only my second Superman fic and I have NO idea what I'm doing... so yeah, being spontaneous and listening to the readers is very helpful to me. Besides, I'm having fun, so that's what counts, right?

>Hehehe... well, it's only my second Superman fic

Soul Searching is my second Supes fic too. I wrote a one-shot earlier, a very sad one-shot. My most tragic fic ever... makes a huge sacrifice in it...

>and I have NO idea what I'm doing... so yeah, being spontaneous and listening to the readers is very helpful to me.

I think the only fic I wrote spontaneously was my first novel-length one, The Greatest Scandal in Hogwarts History (obviously a Harry Potter fic). After that, my fics started to become more and more planned, leaving not much space for spontaneousity. But I like planning things out, it works for me

>Besides, I'm having fun, so that's what counts, right?

Yep. I'm having fun with the thorough planning.

Hehehe, that's good. I have over a hundred fics and I've tried just about everything, in just about every style... and I've found that the story will often tell you what needs to be done. It'll tell you if you need to plan ahead, if you can be spontaneous, or if it needs both strategies. They have minds of their own!

>Yep. I'm having fun with the thorough planning.

Then we're both having fun! Cool!

poor Lois. yes, superman was very much a jerk for not saying goodbye to her before leaving for five years. everyone is quick to blame her for being with Richard, but they seem to forget supey's at fault i mean, in the movie Lois handled it pretty well when he returned. if anyone's boyfriend just up and left without notice only to come back years later expecting everything to be the same, any girl in her right mind would probably a.) want to kill him or b.) have an emotional breakdown, explode, and not want to ever see him again.

πŸ‘: 1 ⏩: 1

AgiVega In reply to blightedmetal [2006-09-21 06:09:36 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, Lois was quite calm about it. But I can't really blame Supes. He's realised he'd made a huge mistake and he's suffering now, and will continue to suffer in the movie sequel because now he has another burden on his shoulder: the knowledge that Jason is his and that he'd not only left Lois without a word, but he'd also left her pregnant. Poor Supes... it's not easy for him now The sequel will surely be even more emotion-packed now that Supes knows the kid is his, Richard too will find out that the kid isn't his, and Jason will very likely find out who he his real daddy is. 2009 is so faaaaaar away!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

blightedmetal In reply to AgiVega [2006-09-21 10:59:03 +0000 UTC]

true. there's so many directions the sequel could take. i hope they don't kill Richard off or turn him into a bad guy though

even though, y'know we all like supey better. lol.

AgiVega In reply to blightedmetal [2006-09-21 12:04:52 +0000 UTC]

I'm sure Richard won't turn bad, but he may die. Though I wouldn't be happy if he died. I've been reading post-SR fanfics for a while and there are too many in which the author kills him off. I think it's too easy to get rid of the competition like that. Richard should be around, fight a bit for Lois, and let her go in the end. That's what I'm going to do with him in my own post-SR fanfic. I like Richard, but I like Clark more

It was great, the transport systems fantastic in Budapest, compared to London. There's always a bus when you want one... I could get used to that My mum is having dentistry work done there so it was a great excuse to have a holiday and see the city!

Thanks. You're the first I talked to who hasn't liked the movie. I'm glad that there are more people out there who liked it. Are you a fan of the old Superman movies? I didn't like those much, but I liked the new one. I found the old ones hopelessly old-fashioned, but this SR is just a tad old-fashioned, and much more exciting than the old ones.

esicardi In reply to AgiVega [2006-08-28 17:14:23 +0000 UTC]

Forgot to add that I found Lex Luthor's evil plans were disappointingly dumb in this movie. I mean, using Krypton technology as an idea had much more potential as an idea that just creating land...
Also the actors who played Lois and Clark were too young for their roles. The girl who plays Lois should be pregnant as a teenager to be a mother of this child.
Also I found it not believable for Lois to save Superman the way she did...
And the movie was too slow to my taste too.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AgiVega In reply to esicardi [2006-08-30 16:32:32 +0000 UTC]

I too thought that both Supes and Lois looked too young (especially Lois), and yes, the Krypton island of Luthor's was dumb, and there WERE certain slow parts, but I never caught myself rooting for Richard. I feel sorry for the guy, because if there will be a sequel (and I heard there will be), then I think (and hope) he will need to step aside.
Why didn't you find it believable that Lois saved Supes? She loves him, of courrse she'd jump into the sea for him!
I too liked the Lois and Clark series, though I don't remember much of it, I saw it at least 7-8 years ago...
