For a clean and original Mini with a serious post, watch this old one instead, [link]

Charlie said that he's going to have bigger wheels fitted to his mini"

"why?" I asked.

"dogs keep wetting the windows." he replied.

Bloke in a mini 850 breaks down on the motorway. Charlie's standing on the hard shoulder, scratching his head, when a big Aston-Martin pulls up and its owner offers to tow him to the next service station. So they tie a towrope to the mini, and off they go.

Five miles down the road, a Mercedes overtakes the Aston, and its driver, striken by road rage, forgets he's towing the Mini and stamps on the accelerator. The Merc and the Aston hare down the motorway, neck and neck, at about 150mph, with the poor terrified Charlie honking his horn and flashing his all new Lucas lights. They pass a Traffic Policeman, who clocks their speed and radios into his station.

"Sarge, you won't believe this - an Aston and a Merc doing 150 neck and neck with some loony in a mini trying to overtake them both!"

Enough....

For he seems to like the earlier one, as soon as he assured me that he will print this for the Mini World's Magazine's Ace Poster, I thought I should do something! (man, he is a close friend of the editor!)

The above illustration shows a Mini 7, it has the following specifications:

I wouldn't say I'm a close friend of the editor of MiniWorld (I would love to be involved in the magazine though), although I have had some stuff printed in MiniWorld before!

Great picture and comments though - I do love this one, it looks great with all the rally stickers.
Excellent stuff.

Well, that was a part of some twisted jokes, hope you can understand, people laugh and have good times reading those words, I know there is a lot of serious and distant environment at DA, somebody needs to break that silence and fill in some laughter, what we are here for? I believe in an open and enabling environment.

Speaking of truth, your comments and appreciation enabled me to put alive the long awaited imagniation of making a track proving mini, I started creating the stickers instantly, the stickers, specially the bmc rosette are very detailed, but I know my work is not refined enough to go in a leading publication.

I love Mini World Magazine, though I just have two copies of that, one that a previous owner gave me when I purchased one of the three minis, and one that my friend brought from UK (since he was holding a visa, and I was not, he specially went to UK for that) along with the complete restoration stuff I needed from MiniSpares.

MiniWorld cannot be subscribed to Pakistan as per their website. My knowledge comes from the reading of extensive range of books on automobile my family holds and the articles from MiniMania, I also have service and repair manuals, workshop manuals, catalogues, etc, like every mini enthusiast, my family's exisitng knowledge of holding classic cars from past 30 years, also plays a vital role.

I love the mini since I was only a kid, those days, I thought of her as the ultimate affordable performer, I got dreams of leaving behind the big boys with bigger and expensive vehicles, at the age of 22, I did. I also love many things from Britain, the British are actually the people who brought the revolution in europe and the rest of the world, In the British collection, we have our hands on a MGA, an MG TD, a flock of Minis, a Morris Minor MM Series of 1948, in UK, this might be a norm, but these things are very hard to maintain here in Pakistan.

From past three days, I am making a cylinder head, and engine block, and a racing seat for the mini, placed in a "Repairs" or "Works" type environment showing some wall mounts, hope you will like that too.

Fantastic - what would we do here without your cheerful and fun comments

You clearly have a great knowledge of the Mini and other British cars - you must be a pretty good mechanic?!
You mention that you have an MGA, MG TD, a 'flock' of Mini's , and a Morris Minor MM - that's an astounding collection!
If only we all drove cars like that here in the UK.
All the cars we have today are nasty, and they all look the same.

Bring back traditional, beautiful car design! Huzzah! :woot!:

Well, if Mini parts are hard to find where you are - let me know if I can help out.

Thanks for such a warm reply, yeah really, due to my great knowledge, people often spot me lying beneath my mini, at first sight they think somebody is sent to heaven by the Mini, but you know that somebody is always me, moments later, they see me coming in the rear view mirror of the their nasty sedan.

They keep their foot hard down, and well before they've covered a mile, they hear a brutal scream, a roar that sears their eardrums, a whoosh and the Mini has passed them, they cars that look the same. Another quarter of a mile and Mini's out of sight, some moments later, they see me collecting some 10" wheels.

Thanks for the helpout, but my friend is again visiting cool UK for the good of Mini, where he will be spotted cleaning his nose by my given money, if the idiot forgets something, which is very likely, I will have no option except to give you that mission, hey, you dont get a cold, do you?

Best Wishes

HAHA, You're a nutter

Well I gotta say - I haven't had a cold in a long time, so I'll accept the mission you might give me.
What engine does your Mini have - it sounds like you have inserted a V12 or something!!

Thanks, really appreciated.

I think your car's heater is working properly, that might be the reason.

Remember its You who wins, not the car and the engine. By using even a stock 850, the trick here is to push the pedal to the metal, (you can easily place even a brick without breaking the accelerator pedal) and a precise focus on steering, and changing lanes very fast without any visible indication (if you flash, the idiots on your side will instantly know you're about to change lane, they will put hurdles for you then) using the brakes here is strictly forbidden, considre that you have no breaks, and all you have to do is to steer clear each and every obstacle front ahead, in maximum available speed, the mini, being smaller, can rush into places where ordinary cars cannot, always use this to your advantage. People can only give you way, when they are sure you can really harm, so keep highest revs possible, the red light is for your good, it will stop the others, not you, so use it to your advantage, remember if you fear, you cannot win, if you are are worried for being caught by the cops, just remove the boot lid, you will get the rid of registeration plate by doing so, also this will reduce some weight, the cops cannot chase you, they know you're too different.

The result is obvious, since the guy, trying to lose the tail is not following these guidelines, you, and your Mini is destined to win.

Thanks, but I am worried that you dont know about me and my Mini, I can diagnose and rectify most of the problems through her tail pipe, I have some special long tools for that. I can adjust the mixture by the means of a big hole (some idiot told me that there was a centre speedo thingy there) that BMC has made for easier access to the carby, this gentlemen! has some obvious advantages while driving, and you can actually feel the change in economy and acceleration.

Dont take anything to your heart, I dont have a habbit of making such memorable funny situations. I dont want to harm people, and dont you even think of touching those american big bores while running! I tell ya, dont put anything close to their exhausts, I have heard stories that they cause a much greater degree of damage, they dont need kits to throw flames. I watch Discovery Channel, so should you, if you want to be a clever crow like me.

I love the details you've put in the mini, the background also gives this a rather nice mood.

And at your description, well for the parts that i actually understood.

Thanks, I am amazed, that you have got an eagle watch on me! Mini is more fun to drive, you get only 20% fun looking at it, the remaining 80% is in driving it! I chase and terrify cats with it.

You should learn to drive as soon as you can, you will regret what pleasure on earth, you were missing, no other means of transport fascinates a man as an automobile, says Ken Perdy (a famous automotive writer) in his book "The Kings of The Road", as a man is a land creature, and wants to move with greater speeds on the ground.

I know I should but my family doesn't have a car since I was a child, so I never got the chance to learn
