Just a drawing I was working on while listening to some Metroid music... I wanted to try my hand at the whole 'Samus emerging from her suit' thing. And this is what I came up with... I would have liked the mechanical aspect to come out better, but oh well, I'm not really a mechanical artist, so this is what yeh get. I'll try to color this at some point during the week, maybe tomorrow.EDIT* I fixed it up alittle (like her face isn't so wonky now) and made it alittle darker. I'm just about ready to color it. Sorry to all of those who have been waiting for this to be colored, please be patient.

Actually the mechanical part of it came out pretty damn good. Since you're not very good at it (according to yourself) you kept it nice and simple and that's good, cuz it looks beautiful. If you had attemped to add a whole bunch of detail it would not look as good as it does. Trust me, I often mess up my drawings by adding one too many things

Oh man, this is perfect.
You did it in your own way and it came out beautifully. You've got the suit unraveling and falling behind her while she takes center stage striking a pose.
Don't worry about the mechanical intricacies of it, it just complicates and distracts from the picture. You kept it smooth, even, and balanced. There's not a single detail you missed.

Well, after reviewing the "facal reconstuction." It reminded me alot of the style the new SNK art is done in.
If this gets colored well I think it's gonna be one of, if not the, best piece of fan art I've ever seen you draw.

This is has to be one of my favorite samus suit/zero suit deviation! love the styyle, and the pose is absoulty perfect. This doesn't even need coloring-its great how it is!

This is quite an impressive piece. Sometimes you do wonder just how Samus gets out of that suit, eh? Some great imagination here; I have to say though, my favorite part is how much detail you've got going on inside that Metroid's body.

You know what? They should've called you for when they were making the concept work for Samus for MP3.. I like this Samus, and the one they made on the game is retarded! Totally not worth beating the game for! I really wouldnt mind seeing something like this for getting 100%!
