If you left click the image itself, you can get a PNG as well c: thought that would help, I can't use PSDs on Firealpaca so that's what I do if I wanna use a F2U

Yep, it sure does! It has layers just like PhotoShop and SAI, so it carries over well to GIMP. And GIMP is free, so yay. ^^
Yeah, GIMP works for animation, too. After colouring in this adorable base in it, I decided I'dΒ I made each of the transition images for my icon there, too. When I actually made it into an animation, though, I used a GIF-making website. There are a lot of them out there, but I used this one because you can choose how long each image individually is displayed. For a blink icon, that was nice. But really,Β you could animate using any programΒ because GIFs are made with a series of images that you select. So even Paint would work.

Download the .psd file, lock the opacity for the color layer. Set the lineart to multiply and you should be ready to go.
