Description
A Native American princess escaping into the forest with her animal friends. She's staring at something (bad?) far in the distance...which is the reason why she wants to Slip Away.~I had fun with textures and patterns on this one.
~I also kept my sketch lines instead of a digital lineart, because I wanted the picture to look misty and soft and stuff.
~The animals I used as a reference are: the Red Wolf, the Western Tanager (bird), and the Sleepy Orange (butterfly). All of them life in Central/Western US, which is why i picked them.
I know her head is too big...but I never really see the problems with anatomy until I'm like halfway done...and then I'm too lazy to fix it.
And can't draw backgrounds for my life, so I compensated by putting lots of shiny dandelion seeds and sun rays and stuff.---

This is so pretty! I definitely think leaving the original lineart was a good choice... The colors are so soft and pretty, too. ^_____^ Also, the animals were surprisingly good (not that I don't have faith in you, Mari, it's just that I don't see you draw them that often

Well, it's far in the distance and she's kinda weary or lost in thought of whatever is happening. She's trying to lead the animals away from it so they don't have to see. Or that's what I wanted it to look like...
