First comic of the new year. First teasing of the bun bun of the new year~ =3=But really tho I find it to be one of the most underwhelming moment I've ever felt since EP1 The Phantom Menace.

The moment I saw the camera I was more confused then disappointed. In fact, I felt no disappointment what's-so-ever as I figured the camera did more then one would initially think. Looking at her bringing out solid light constructs, I'd say I was right about it.

Does Velvet have adaptive muscle memory or something because that's the only explanation as to how she was able to imitate her friends fighting styles?

That is part of Velvet's semblance, which is attack mimicry. The camera is a booster for the semblance. It's a very particular semblance, but in the right circumstances, very interesting!

That explains a lot. The people a RT did say that a persons semblance can a manifest in several different ways. According to them, Semblance can be elemental manipulationΒ like Blake's and Nora's or augmented physical capabilities like Ruby's speed or Yang's whatever you call it. They gave several other examples of what semblance can and can't be but Velvet definitely fits their guidelines.

one weapon at a time and one use per weapon. Even her concept art states that the photos get all scratched and burned up once the weapon is used which is why She took so many photos of Ruby. to backlog useable photos

So just going to say this. We have had hints that that camera is her weapon right. That it probably makes the photos into Dust copies and basically makes her a Jack of All Trades fighter and is a second year student. So question, why did she take Cardin's shit? Also who else figured Velvet would (read as will, given the episode where she finally shows her weapon off has not been shown yet) be badass because people used the "Reisen Effect" (google Reisen Udongein Inaba if you don't get the meaning behind the effect) on her in fanfiction?

The camera is a weapon duplicator. if she takes a pic, she wields a copy of a weapon, and she can use them with her semblance which is a mimic type.
Imagine Velvet wielding Yang's gauntlets and Mercury's Boots and doing a kickboxing stance, dual wielding Stormflower and Emerald's weapon, or taking crescent rose for a spin.
