First comic of the new year. First teasing of the bun bun of the new year~ =3=But really tho I find it to be one of the most underwhelming moment I've ever felt since EP1 The Phantom Menace.

I heard some theories that her box can make replicas of any weapon that velvet has taken a picture of. Β In the story that she is based on, the Velveteen Rabbit, its is about a toy rabbit wishing to be real. Β So her box can make "toy" versions of weapons she took pictures of, thus making them "real". Β

All things considered though, I'm 100% sure the camera is also a gun. So it passes the RWBY test.

My theory is that she takes the pictures of weapons then magically pulls the weapons out of pictures and they move on their own, so she orders magically controlled weapons to do her bidding.

I have a really strong feeling that the camera isn't her weapon or even part of her weapon, just a hobby of hers that she happens to also carry in the box lol XD This is still a really funny comic but yeah

Considering the potential myth inspirations they could take, such as the belief some had of cameras stealing peoples souls when pictures were taken of them, Im excited as all hell for what it ends up doing. And looking at the photo, it seemed centered on Suns weapons more than anything, whose to say her pictures cant be linked to the box to create temporary copies of weapons that shes taken pictures of. She could potentially have one of the most versatile weapons in the show!
And besides all that, its a really cool designed camera in its own right. I love the mix of old style cameras with the fold out lid with it still being a digital camera. It has a cool steampunkish design to it

Your theory makes the most sense for the reasons you stated. Although if that is true, then she probably the most skilled combatant at Beacon if she can wield so many kinds of weapons.

Thats actually probably one of the primary limiting factors to it(If all of this is true). She may be able to make copies, but it doesnt necessarily means its something she could use effectively. She couldnt make Sages greatsword or Cocos minigun and be able to carry it well, but something like Suns gunchucks wouldnt be as difficult to use(primarily in its staff form at least).
