Description
Fire, is a very unpredictable force, just like imagination. I feel I have bonded with this element and it continues to show up in my artwork, unintentionally. I’ve decided to let my style go where it needs to and to stop trying to persuade it differently.Thank you everybody for the faves, comments critique and overall feedback on my art. I have been very busy lately but I promise I will find the time to go through messages. I always appreciate the time you take to look at my creations.

Pose reference was taken from a book titled African Predators from my library.
I will be posting a tutorial on how I drew this picture!
Materials used: 100% watercolor pencils on 90 lb. watercolor paper.
Time: 30+ hours. I’ve put this in the drawing category because 80% of the work is laying the pigment down with pencils, and 20% is adding water to it.

Thank you very much! The great thing about yellow is it sort of merged the orange/red with the lighter orange. I always have a lot of fun with these fire pictures ^^

Beautiful work,I'm curious to know if you were trying to put forth a particular emotion here or if the searching look upon your lions face just evolved naturally??? As I look at this I feel that your lion is seeking knowledge & answers from within the fire like looking into a crystal ball.Lovely work (big smiles) This one really reaches out to me.

lol I prefer traditional art because I can feel the pigment on my skin,whereas digital is pixels. I love feeling the different tools and the surface I am working on ^^

I really love the pose and how you are able to combine both animal and element into such a beautiful piece! Those flames are gorgeous and the attention to detial is stunning!

Yeah I've been experimenting some with my inktense pencils-the black ones are awesome! They sort of bleed differently from watercolors, and adding the fire next to them will be awesome!
