Split Complementary watercolor!I messed around with the composition a bit-by adding SWIRLS!

I like how the contrast turned out-the powerful muzzle against the orange background is my favorite part.
Mediums used: pencil on hot press wc paper, watercolors, ps for frame. ^^

I love horses-and have drawn them for a long time-so the practice has made me better over the years. Painting him was very scary though!

Thank you! The smooth press paper really made a difference! It blends a bit differently and I had to get used to it, but yay!

This is spectacular, Amanda! I just fell in love with this piece. I already liked the pencil version, but the colors you used, the contrasts and the brush of watercolors are simply perfect!!
