I'm so darn happy with these you have no idea!

Okay, back when Cars first came out, not only was Lightning one of my favorites but a certain other racer was my all time favorite. The King. I don't know why but I always loved him. Maybe it was his model, his color or whatever but as an adult I still love him for his character and just who he is so to give a second go at his design along with his wife was a great feeling because here, I did them more justcie than my first go.

The King has more muscle to him now and some age. He looks more like a veteran racer now. Also, new Dinoco sticker, new racing suit and oh yeah I go his racing number right this time. (I honestly don't know how I botched it the first time. I really have no idea how that flew over my head. Either way it's fixed now.)

Mrs. The King got a full overhaul in appearance. Just a bit more comfortable and gentle look. This is the woman who loves her husband and does all she can to support him at races. (Also, her and The King are probably one of my favorite background couples right next to Harvey and Winnie.)

Mack got upgrades as well. Nothing too drastic but he looks better than my first try. He's ready to get rolling. (Long as there is no pretty music to knock him out.)

And finally, Chick Hicks! Now in HD with stickers! Yeah first time I drew this guy I just wasn't going to have it with the barrage of stickers. This time, I decided to go all out and well, it worked out in the end. Also he got tanned a bit and some more muscle.

And thus concludes this first portion of the Cars Cast redesign. I do have two characters from the first movie to redesign but I'm saving for last. For now, next up, it's on to the Cars 2 characters.
