Please bear with my not so good english and expressions =_=You may need to get more familiar with photoshop functions to understand what I am doing. There are many good basic tutorials out there
Also, photoshop is merely a tool. To make good pictures you need skills. Practice makes perfect ^^

Right after you scan the image, select the level tool from image>>adjustment>>levels. Slide the white arrow to the left for clean background and gray arrow to the right for darker lines. Then carry on with the amendments

u can try ctrl+backspace, that should fill the layer with background colour (or foreground, i dun rmbXD) @_@

Oh, rly, wow, that's very neat. Thanx for the reply and also how do u place your pencil line art over the other layers, and have the inside transparent, cause when I open up my image on photoshop, it doesn't let me make layers under it.

this is because the layer (background) is locked~
double click to change its name^^

so changing it's name will unlock it and enable me to bring it over other layers?
