Description I was really bored and had nothing to do (at two in the morning) since I'm on a rather harsh artist's block at the moment, so I was just browsin the net and I came across a pic of Johnny Depp. And I was like... whoa. As usual. And since I was in a Depp-ish mood from watching Chocolat, and since this pic was just so damn... whoa... I set down to doodlin. And this came about.

So, yeah. Cheers to Depp.

you so good at shading ... bu the looks pissed off ... my fav thing about this is that the hair and the background are the same colour ... it looks really interesting like that ... but ... you see ... there is something really so very wrong about this pic .... ... its to good .. it makes me want to hate you

Wonderful portrait.. Depp would definately be the guy to draw.. He has such interesting characteristics to both his face and his movement.. I think you definatey captured him in this, bravo for that!

I agree. And I'm still working on the answer to that one. My theory thus far is that he's not actually human, but a computer generated piece of gorgeous machinery sent by aliens to woo the entire planet into a state of hypnotism while they gather their metroid armies in preparation for massive world-takeover. If that's the case, it's probably working.

This is wunnerful! I was looking for Depp pictures today, and I saw this one...I think. Anyway, the lips are my favorite part...and of course, the eyes. MMmm...I must do one of him someday. Probably Scissorhands, though...xD

lovely pic of depp, excellent work on the proportions and shading. with the black and white it almost ends up reminding me of sirius black from harry potter for some reason..maybe that's just me though. nice work

Very nice. Chocolat had pretty much the same effect on me. He loos rather Edward Scissorhands-ish in this picture because of the stark contrast between his really white skin and the black hair/background.

It looks really realistic, and you made the lips very well - they don't make him to look girlish. Eyes so dark, and the pretty hair even darker...
The nose is very well done, too!
