Wow... He really looks like someone who has just given up. Surrendered. As the title says - Empty. From his eyes flows the last bitter tears. He doesn't want anymore. Do with him whatever you want, he doesn't care. He's got nothing left. There's nothing you can do that haven't already been done to him.
Or anyway, that is what I see. I don't know if there is any history behind this character. If there is, I do not know of it...

This is so intense. And I don't mean that in the annoying teenagery way. I mean literally intense. I love how the whole face just fills up the page and how there isn't any negative space. It gives sort of a sense of suffocating anguish.. And the eyes! The eyes are probably my favorite part of it. The whole thing is just.. it's just.. wow.

The lines of his face are very expressive, without making his face look "lined," if that makes any sense. His eyes are striking.

I love how dark and gloomy the colors are, they really draw the eye in and make you look closer. Its also neat how his hair is totally pitch black, no highlights or anything. Its a really neat affect. [Though I dunno if that's because its unfinished or not. Either way, it looks cool like this.]
