I really enjoy this; it's an awesome concept as well as a good job modeling/rendering.
Mind if I ask what programs you used and how long it took to make/render?

I used Maya to create the base mesh, then impoted into zbrush for digital sculpting. Once I finished sculpting I exported it to Mudbox for texturing, finally I brought it back into Maya and rendered with Mentalray
