Call me old fashion but I love me some classic Scarecrow. So here's nerdy Jonathan Crane for the masses.
Neat touch with the syringes on the gloves though. Made me realize I've never drawn him with needles.

Thank you for this pic. I am such a fan of the original nerdy (non Nolan verse) Scarecrow also the symbolism of the shadow self... though mild it seemed a call back to my favorite Scarecrow, the year one comic with Molly.. and yes I'm fan girling. I'll cut it short by reiterating my thanks for this picture and leave it at that.

I’ve just started getting reacquainted with the animated series, starting with his introduction episode. As much as I hear people say it sucked, I really enjoyed it. There is just something so amusing about egotistical yet wimpy villains.

As much as I like the needle-hand addition to the Arkham Asylum Scarecrow, I have to say, classic Jonathan will always be my fave.
That and for some reason... him being shirtless really bothers me. It just seems so un-Jonathan to me and...

Yeah, I get what the creators were trying to get at though. They wanted to make the characters outfits completely Arkham based seeing how this all takes place in the Asylum and what not... but couldn't they at least given him a decent shirt? I'd even prefer that over the hoodie he wears...
Haha, oh god... I actually had to make a shirtless Crane pic as per request from a friend. I wasn't sure if I was suppose to laugh or cry afterwords, my sense of male anatomy is REALLY bad, and on top of it being Jonathan Crane I was modeling... It was a bit of train wreck to put it bluntly, but a funny one at least.

Thanks! I usually only watch the episodes with Crane or Jervis in them, which is a bad idea because those are usually the shitty episodes, but whatevs. The two parter with Clayface is amazing though. Ditto anything with Freeze. If you ever get the time, I think you'd enjoy the episodes. I tend to base my drawings more off the series because the Batman comics are just getting so fucked up.

My brother and I watched Jervis and Jonathon's premiere episodes earlier this year, but I'll look those ones up.

nope, you did see it, when it was a piece of shit wip. i came across it in a drawer and i just raged so hard over how bad it looked, i stayed up till 6:30 in the morning making it look fucking metal. he just had a ring of red around him before and it looked like ass.
